📦 A tiny box has adventures

Crate Quest

A real little platformer — you play a small wooden crate. Run, jump, stomp enemies, collect gears, reach the flag. Arrow keys / WASD + Space, or the on-screen buttons. Nothing to install, nothing saved except your high score.

Crate Quest

A small box. A big warehouse. Let's go.

Keyboard: ← → or A/D to move, Space / ↑ / W to jump (hold for a higher jump).

How it works

Physics run on real elapsed time each frame — gravity, acceleration, and friction constants push your velocity, then horizontal and vertical collisions against platforms are resolved as two separate passes so you can slide along a wall without getting stuck in a corner. Jumping is buffered (a press just before landing still counts) and forgiving (a jump still works up to 0.1 seconds after you've left a platform), and holding the jump button longer gives a higher jump.

FAQ

Why does my jump still work for a split second after I've run off a platform?
That's coyote time — a 0.1 second grace window after leaving the ground where a jump still registers, a standard platformer trick that makes edge jumps feel fair instead of punishingly precise.
Is my high score saved between visits?
Yes — your best score from a full run through all 3 levels is saved to your browser's local storage rather than a server, so it's specific to that browser and device.
