DNS lookup

Check A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME, or NS records for any domain. Uses Google's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver โ€” nothing is stored.

How it works

The domain and record type are sent straight to Google's public DNS-over-HTTPS endpoint (dns.google/resolve) as a plain fetch request, and the JSON response's Status code and Answer array are read directly to build the results table โ€” there's no server in between and no local resolver involved.

FAQ

Does this query my own DNS resolver or my ISP's?
No โ€” every lookup is sent to Google's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver at dns.google, not your operating system's configured resolver. That means results reflect what Google sees, which can differ from an ISP's cache or from internal/split-horizon DNS on a private network.
Why does a lookup return no records for a domain that works fine in my browser?
The tool only queries the exact record type you select for the exact name you type. A site that resolves in a browser via, say, only an AAAA record will show nothing if you query A, and a record that actually lives on a subdomain won't show up under the bare domain.
