Fake JSON / API Mock Data Generator

Define a shape — field name + type — and generate realistic-looking fake records for mocking an API response. All data is synthesized locally; nothing real. No signup required. No tracking, no ad-tech scripts, nothing you type or upload ever leaves your browser.

Generated JSON

How it works

Each field you define maps to a small generator function — name and company pick randomly from short built-in word lists, email combines a random first/last name with a random domain, date picks a random point between January 2022 and today — and the whole set of records is assembled as a plain JavaScript array and pretty-printed with JSON.stringify(records, null, 2).

FAQ

Are the generated UUIDs cryptographically secure like a real v4 UUID?
No — the uuid generator fills its template using Math.random(), not the Web Crypto API, so it's fine for mock data and test fixtures but shouldn't be treated as a cryptographically unpredictable or guaranteed-unique identifier.
Can two generated records end up with the same name or email?
Yes — every field is generated independently for each record by picking randomly from a small fixed word list, so duplicate names, emails, or other values across records are possible, especially as you increase the record count.
