.gitignore generator

Pick one or more stacks — they combine into one file.

How it works

Each stack (Node, Python, Java, Go, Rust, macOS, Windows, VSCode, JetBrains, React, Docker, Terraform) is a fixed template of ignore patterns. Checking a box concatenates that stack's block, under its own comment heading, into the live output — Node, macOS, and VSCode are checked by default.

FAQ

Can I select more than one stack at once?
Yes — checking multiple stacks combines all of their patterns into one output file, each under its own # Name comment heading, so a Node + React + macOS + VSCode project gets one file covering all four.
Why are Node, macOS, and VSCode checked by default?
They're a broadly useful combination for a typical web project — Node/JS dependency and log patterns, macOS's .DS_Store, and VS Code's workspace settings — but you can uncheck any of them or add more stacks.
