What grade do I need on my final?

How it works

Your current grade is scaled down by everything except the final's weight to get its locked-in contribution; the score needed on the final is then solved so that contribution plus the final's weighted score equals your target — flagged as impossible above 100% or already-secured below 0%.

What does it mean if the result says the target isn't possible even with 100%?

It means the math works out to needing more than 100% on the final — your current grade and the final's weight can't mathematically reach your target no matter what you score, so the target needs to be adjusted or extra credit is needed.

What if I've already secured my target grade?

If the calculation comes out negative, you don't need any specific score on the final — even a 0% would still leave your overall grade at or above your target, based on the weights entered.
