FAQ

Why is my PNG not much smaller?
PNG is lossless, so the compressor can only shrink it by resizing. To cut a photo's size substantially, switch to JPEG or WebP and lower the quality.
Does it upload my photos?
No. Every image is decoded and re-encoded inside your browser.
What if the output is bigger than the original?
The tool says so and suggests keeping the original. That can happen with PNG or with a quality setting that's too high.
