JSON Schema Validator
Validate JSON against a JSON Schema (draft-4) using tv4, an established validator library - not a hand-rolled subset. Entirely client-side.
How it works
Validation runs on tv4, an established JSON Schema draft-4 validator library, called via validateMultiple() so every rule violation is collected and shown at once instead of stopping at the first one. Since format is only a SHOULD in the JSON Schema spec, tv4 leaves it unimplemented by default — this tool registers a basic email check through tv4's documented extension point so a schema declaring format: "email" actually gets enforced rather than silently ignored.
FAQ
Why does the validator actually check "format": "email" when the spec says format is optional?
tv4 leaves format keywords unimplemented by default because the JSON Schema spec only says validators SHOULD check them, not MUST — this tool registers its own email regex check through tv4's extension point so that keyword doesn't just get silently skipped.
Does it stop at the first error it finds?
No — it calls tv4's validateMultiple() rather than its single-error validate(), so every rule violation in your JSON is collected and listed together, letting you fix everything in one pass instead of one error at a time.
