How it works

Picking uses crypto.getRandomValues(), not Math.random() — one secure random index is drawn per pick, and that name is removed from the pool before the next pick, so selecting several names in one click can never return the same name twice in that draw. "Remove picked names" simply rewrites the textarea with whatever names are left in the pool afterward.

FAQ

Can the same name be picked twice if I click "Pick!" more than once?

Yes — unless "Remove picked names" is checked, each click starts a fresh draw from the full list, so the same person can come up again in a later round.

What happens if I ask to pick more names than are on the list?

It just picks everyone — the draw loop stops once the pool runs out, so asking for 20 picks from a list of 6 names returns all 6 rather than an error.
