What is my screen resolution?
Live info about your display and browser window. Resize the window to watch it update.
How it works
Every value here comes straight from the browser's own `screen`, `window`, and `navigator` objects โ screen.width/height for your monitor's fixed pixel count, window.innerWidth/innerHeight for the current viewport, and window.devicePixelRatio for how many physical pixels the display packs into each CSS pixel. A resize listener re-reads all of it and rewrites the grid every time the window changes size, so dragging the window edge updates the numbers live.
FAQ
- Why don't 'Screen resolution' and 'Viewport' match?
- Screen resolution is your monitor's fixed pixel count regardless of how big the browser window is; the viewport is just the size of the browser's content area, which shrinks with toolbars, docked dev tools, or simply resizing the window.
- Why is my device pixel ratio 2 or higher instead of 1?
- That means the display is rendering at a higher physical pixel density than its logical resolution โ common on Retina and other high-DPI screens, where each CSS pixel is drawn using multiple physical pixels for sharper text and images.
