🎚️ Multitrack audio & mixing — 100% in your browser

SoundCraft

A digital audio workstation — multitrack editing, a full mixer with plugins, sends and automation, MIDI, recording and bouncing — compiled to WebAssembly from the open-source SoundCraft project. Everything runs on your device; nothing you open is ever uploaded.

Before you click Launch: this loads a ~12MB WebAssembly app (same engine as the native desktop build), so give it a moment on a slow connection. It's also pre-alpha upstream's own words — most of the basics work, but expect rough edges. Works best in a browser with WebGPU or WebGL2.

How it works

SoundCraft's whole engine and UI compile to WebAssembly from the same Rust codebase as the native app, so it's loaded once (on Launch, not on page load) and then runs as a self-contained DAW inside the frame above — recording, editing and mixing never leaves your browser (microphone input needs your permission, same as any site).

FAQ

Does my project get uploaded anywhere?
No. SoundCraft runs entirely client-side via WebAssembly — recording, editing and mixing all happen on your device. There is no server-side storage.
Why is the download so big?
It's a full digital audio workstation, not a small script — about 12MB of WebAssembly, the same engine that powers the native desktop app. It only loads once you click Launch, and your browser caches it after that.
Is this finished software?
No — SoundCraft is pre-alpha, upstream's own words. Multitrack editing and the mixer work, but it isn't a daily-use Pro Tools replacement yet.
