How it works
Tasks are stored as a plain array of { text, done } objects, saved to this browser's localStorage after every add, check, or delete, and re-rendered from that array โ there's no server request and no account, so the list only exists in this browser's storage.
FAQ
Will my to-do list still be there if I close the tab or restart my browser?
Yes, as long as you use the same browser on the same device โ tasks are saved to that browser's local storage rather than an account, so they persist across restarts but won't follow you to another device or browser.
Why did three example tasks appear the first time I opened this?
The list seeds itself with three sample tasks only when local storage is empty, so first-time visitors can see how checking off a task and the completed-task styling work; delete them and add your own whenever you like.
