Paste a webhook JSON payload — GitHub, Stripe, and Slack are auto-detected and their key fields explained; anything else is just pretty-printed. Nothing is ever uploaded.
Recognized fields
Pretty-printed
How it works
The pasted JSON is checked against three fixed field-shape heuristics to guess whether it's a GitHub, Stripe, or Slack webhook — for example, a top-level action string plus repository.full_name means GitHub — and whichever fields from that platform's known glossary are present get pulled out by dot-path and explained; anything unrecognized just gets pretty-printed with JSON.stringify.
FAQ
How does it know whether a payload is from GitHub, Stripe, or Slack?
By checking the shape of the parsed JSON — for example, a top-level action string plus a repository.full_name field is treated as GitHub, and a dotted type string plus data.object is treated as Stripe — it never reads request headers or signatures, since only the pasted body is available.
Does it verify the webhook's signature to confirm it's authentic?
No — it only inspects and explains the JSON body you paste; verifying a webhook's HMAC signature requires the raw request bytes and your endpoint's signing secret, which this browser-only tool never has access to.
