How it works

Starting from the day after your start date, each calendar day is checked in turn — weekends are always skipped, and bank holidays are skipped too if that option is ticked. The count only advances on a day that passes both checks, until it reaches the number of working days you asked for.

Which bank holidays does this use?

England & Wales bank holidays for 2026 and 2027 — Scotland and Northern Ireland observe some different dates, so results may be off by a day or two for those nations.

Does the start date count as day one?

No — counting begins the next working day after your start date, which matches how most "5 working days from today" deadlines are meant.
