Paste YAML or JSON on either side and convert instantly. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it works
Conversion in both directions runs through the js-yaml library loaded from a CDN — YAML to JSON calls jsyaml.load() and re-serializes with JSON.stringify(), while JSON to YAML parses with JSON.parse() and calls jsyaml.dump() — entirely in your browser, with no file ever sent anywhere.
FAQ
What happens to YAML comments when I convert to JSON and back?
They're lost — JSON has no comment syntax, so converting YAML to JSON strips any comments in the original, and they won't reappear when you convert back.
Does the converter support multiple YAML documents separated by triple dashes in one file?
No — it parses with js-yaml's load(), which expects exactly one YAML document and throws an error if it finds more than one; multi-document files need the separate loadAll() API, which this tool doesn't call.
