A presentation builder — themes, layouts, shapes, pictures, tables, charts, transitions and animations, opening and saving real PowerPoint files, presenting full screen — compiled to WebAssembly from the open-source DeckCraft project. Everything runs on your device; nothing you open is ever uploaded.
Before you click Launch: this loads a ~28MB WebAssembly app (same engine as the native desktop build), so give it a moment on a slow connection. It's also early development upstream's own words — most of the basics work, but expect rough edges. Works best in a browser with WebGPU or WebGL2.
How it works
DeckCraft's whole engine and UI compile to WebAssembly from the same Rust codebase as the native app, so it's loaded once (on Launch, not on page load) and then runs as a self-contained presentation editor inside the frame above — building, presenting, and saving a deck never leaves your browser. The GPU compositor uses WebGPU where available and falls back to WebGL2 automatically.
FAQ
Does my presentation get uploaded anywhere?
No. DeckCraft runs entirely client-side via WebAssembly — building and saving a deck all happen on your device. There is no server-side document storage.
Why is the download so big?
It's a full presentation engine, not a small script — about 28MB of WebAssembly, the same engine that powers the native desktop app. It only loads once you click Launch, and your browser caches it after that.
Is this finished software?
No — DeckCraft is early development, upstream's own words. Themes, layouts, shapes, tables, charts and PowerPoint open/save work, but it isn't a daily-use PowerPoint replacement yet.
