Classic placeholder text, by the paragraph, sentence, or word.
How it works
Text is built by picking random words from a fixed 69-word pool drawn from the classic Lorem Ipsum passage — not a Markov-chain or dictionary generator — with sentences assembled from 6 to 16 random words and capitalized/punctuated afterward, and paragraphs made from 4 to 6 random sentences; checking "Start with Lorem ipsum..." just prepends the traditional opening line before the randomly generated text.
FAQ
Why do I sometimes see the same word appear twice in a row?
Because each word is picked independently at random from the same fixed pool every time, so back-to-back repeats (like "dolor dolor") happen by chance the same way rolling the same number twice in a row on a die would — it's not filtered out.
Is this actually Latin, or does it mean something?
It's derived from a scrambled passage of Cicero's 1st-century BC text De Finibus, but the words here are just shuffled at random from that vocabulary — it's not grammatical Latin and isn't meant to be translated.
