Markdown table generator

Paste CSV, TSV, or tab-separated data (first row = headers) and get a ready-to-paste Markdown table.

How it works

Pasting data auto-detects the delimiter by checking whether the first line contains a tab (using tab-separated) or falls back to commas, splits every line into cells, and rebuilds the header/separator/body rows as pipe-delimited Markdown — the separator row's dashes get colons added on the left, right, or both sides depending on the alignment dropdown, which applies to every column at once rather than per-column.

FAQ

Can I set different alignment for each column?
No — the alignment dropdown applies one alignment (left/center/right/default) to every column in the generated table; for per-column alignment, edit the separator row's dashes and colons directly in the Markdown output afterward.
What happens if my CSV values contain a comma inside a field?
It'll be split incorrectly — the parser does a plain split on commas (or tabs), not full CSV quoting/escaping rules, so a field like "Smith, Alex" gets treated as two columns; switch to tab-separated data if your values contain commas.
