How it works
Merging is done with the pdf-lib JavaScript library running in your browser: each PDF you add is loaded, its pages are copied in order into one new PDF document, and that combined file is saved and offered as a download - the files never leave your device to be merged on a server.
FAQ
Can I change the order of the pages before merging?
Yes - each file has up and down buttons to reorder it in the queue, and PDFs are merged in the exact top-to-bottom order shown in that list.
Why won't a password-protected PDF merge?
pdf-lib can't open an encrypted PDF without the password, so a protected file will throw an error during merging rather than being silently skipped or merged incorrectly.
