Score tracker

Add players, tap +/- to update scores each round. Works for cards, board games, trivia, anything.

No players yet — add one above.

How it works

Each player's +/- buttons don't move the score by a fixed amount — they add or subtract whatever value is currently in the "points per tap" field, so changing it to 5 or 10 changes every tap for every player at once. Player names are inserted through a text-escaping step (setting textContent, then reading back the escaped HTML) rather than concatenated directly into markup, so a name with characters like < or & can't break the page. Every add, tap, and removal is written to localStorage immediately, so a reload picks up exactly where the game left off.

FAQ

Can I use the step field to subtract more than 1 point at a time?
Yes — the +/- buttons don't add or subtract a fixed 1 point, they use whatever number is in the step field, so setting it to 5 makes both buttons move a player's score by 5.
Do player names support special characters safely?
Yes — names are run through a text-escaping step before being placed on the page, so a name containing characters like < or & can't break the layout or be interpreted as HTML.
