Terraform Variable & Output Extractor

Paste one or more .tf files to see every declared variable and output block at a glance — a module's full interface without hunting through files. Nothing is ever uploaded.

How it works

variable and output blocks are located by matching their braces (so nested braces inside a block don't confuse the boundary), then each block's type, default, and description fields are pulled out with a per-field regex that reads to the end of that value's line — a variable with no default field at all is shown as required, matching how Terraform itself would prompt for it.

FAQ

Does it handle a default value that spans multiple lines, like a list or map?
Not fully — the field extractor reads only up to the end of the line the value starts on, so a multi-line default (a list, map, or heredoc) will show truncated in the table rather than in full.
What makes a variable show up as 'required' in the output?
Any variable block with no default field at all — Terraform itself will prompt for or fail on a missing value for exactly these variables at plan time, so the label matches real behavior.
