📷 Photo library & raw developer — 100% in your browser
LightCraft
A photo library and non-destructive raw developer — organise, cull and develop camera raw files (DNG, ARW, CR2/CR3, NEF, RAF, ORF, RW2, PEF and more) — compiled to WebAssembly from the open-source LightCraft project. Everything runs on your device; nothing you open is ever uploaded.
Before you click Launch: this loads a ~25MB WebAssembly app (same engine as the native desktop build), so give it a moment on a slow connection. It's also early alpha upstream's own words — most of the basics work, but expect rough edges. Works best in a browser with WebGPU or WebGL2.
How it works
LightCraft's whole engine and UI compile to WebAssembly from the same Rust codebase as the native app, so it's loaded once (on Launch, not on page load) and then runs as a self-contained app inside the frame above — importing, culling, and developing a raw file never leaves your browser. The GPU path uses WebGPU where available and falls back to WebGL2 automatically.
FAQ
Does my photo library get uploaded anywhere?
No. LightCraft runs entirely client-side via WebAssembly — organising and developing photos all happens on your device. There is no server-side storage.
Why is the download so big?
It's a full raw photo developer, not a small script — about 25MB of WebAssembly, the same engine that powers the native desktop app. It only loads once you click Launch, and your browser caches it after that.
Is this finished software?
No — LightCraft is early alpha, upstream's own words. Core raw development and library features work, but expect rough edges and missing pro workflows.
